Lockdown Networks® — Who
Lockdown Networks' network access control (NAC) puts you in the driver seat when it comes to determining who is on your network. Authentication is the heart of identity–based network access control. Lockdown assess identity for all users and devices joining the network. Lockdown taps into existing authentication processes, including RADIUS, 802.1x, Windows Authentication, NDS, and Kerberos to use single–sign–on to determine identity. As a convenience, in 802.1x authentication, when a device doesn't have a supplicant installed, Lockdown can automatically fallback to a web–login. Lockdown also includes a built–in RADIUS server to terminate RADIUS requests, or it can interact with existing RADIUS systems.
Once identity is established, Lockdown applies relevant policy (which can be specific to user or group identity) to determine what criteria must be met before a user or device can join the network, and if the criteria is met, what network they will participate in. Of course, users such as guests, contractors, and vendors may not be able to authenticate on a network. Lockdown can either automatically apply policy to place them on a guest network, or user and device registration can be applied.
Lockdown's advanced guest and device registration allows designated administrators to easily add temporary users and assign them to specific networks, or even to allow users to register themselves and their devices if appropriate.
Lockdown delivers unrivaled ability to automate user and guest access with minimal impact on existing processes, systems, or end–user experience.
