Senior Marketing Manager
Description
Lockdown Networks is a venture-backed Network Access Control (NAC) network security company based in Seattle.
We are looking for a talented Senior Marketing Communications Manager. You are extremely well organized, strategic thinker capable of strong and dependable tactical execution.
Your overall responsibilities will be to drive website refresh, create integrated marketing campaigns — including merging online and tradeshow activities (and more!) — and to manage email messaging/touch/frequency, SEM, SEO, and analytics efforts.
We are looking for someone who is excited to work in a fast-paced start-up environment, who has a sense of humor and enjoys working in a fun and friendly atmosphere. If you are a self-starter and need little or no ramp up, can work on your own and manage vendors, read on!
Responsibilities:
- Search Engine Optimization and Marketing: Use your skills to manage the Lockdown SEO and SEM across multiple search engines - keyword research, bid management, and optimization.
- Website and Blog Refresh: Your strong project management skills and an eye for creating easy to use site navigation with relevant and effective content will ensure success with this and other portal projects.
- Email Marketing: Implementation of all aspects of email marketing — creative development, campaign design, legal compliance and optimization testing.
- Data Analysis and reporting: Collect data from multiple sources to keep weekly and monthly internal reporting; serve as internal expert for data analysis; support senior management with ad hoc reporting and analysis; conduct and report on tests to optimize user conversion for Lockdown website.
- Research: Conduct industry and competitive research to inform marketing and product decisions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in marketing communications
- 3+ years managing tradeshows — contracts and logistics
- 2+ years managing B2B-focused SEO, SEM and email marketing
- Experience with SalesForce.com (uploads, downloads, reports)
- Experience with sophisticated web analytics reporting systems
- Experience managing email campaigns through a sophisticated email service provider, such as Constant Contact
- Experience managing PPC media buys through an SEO company or bid management systems
- Analytical mindset with an understanding of statistical testing methodologies
- Self starter, outgoing, personable, and proactive with an intense attention to detail
Traditional Graphics Design knowledge and experience using Adobe CS2 or higher a plus.

Senior Software Engineer - High Performance Systems
We have openings for experienced Senior Software Engineers to join the Lockdown appliance development team. Duties include rapid development of new products and modification and maintenance of legacy and third party code. Creativity and problem solving skills will be integral to project challenges. The chosen candidate will be part of an elite, friendly and talented team. You are guaranteed to learn something new every day and you'll never be bored!
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Three or more years experience in a professional software development organization.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
Key Skills:
- Deep Linux/Unix knowledge. You know how to make an OS do tricks for you.
- System software design. Experienced with design of large, complex, concurrent systems. Complex inter-process communications and performance optimization. People come to you for the really tough problems.
- Fault tolerance, high availability, distributed systems. You instinctively know how to design something that will run forever.
- Software build systems, packaging, installation, upgrading, etc. You think it might be fun to design your own OS distribution, but you don't want to re-invent the wheel.
- Platform skills including device drivers, kernel configuration, unusual networks configurations, headless operation, cross development. You will be making appliances, not PC software.
Other Desirable Skills/Background:
- Expert level C and/or C++ developer.
- Extensive experience with Unix/Linux system software development.
- Integration skills: being able to take 3rd party or free software, make it do new tricks, and integrate it into a bullet-proof appliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience with Ruby and other programming and scripting languages and ability to quickly pick up new languages is a plus.
- Software engineering skills: Comfortable with planning, specifying, and participating in configuration management and change management processes.
